You may not be able to imagine a time without easy access to
cameras, but that was the situation in the US in the 1930s.
Roosevelt sent out photographers to document the lives of
Americans. Those images inspired congress to understand the impact
of the Great Depression and to provide programs to help. In today’s
episode, I speak with Darcy Brown, Executive Director at San
Francisco Beautiful and Peter Clarke, Communications Manager about
using video to share stories of people within their community to
bring attention and empathy to different groups who do not have a
voice in today’s media.
